There are some differences between the drive modes of electric vehicles and traditional vehicles. The biggest difference between the maintenance of the two is that traditional vehicles mainly focus on the maintenance of the engine system, and the oil filter needs to be replaced regularly; The pure electric vehicle is driven by the motor, and does not need regular maintenance such as engine oil, three filters, and belts. It is mainly about daily maintenance of the battery pack and motor, and keeping them clean. It can be seen that the maintenance of electric vehicles is much easier than that of traditional vehicles.

What parts of new energy vehicles should be maintained?

Appearance

For the maintenance of new energy vehicles, the appearance inspection shall be carried out first, including the damage of the paint and the normal function of the lights, the aging degree of the wipers and other components, and the inspection of the tires.

Clean the vehicle with neutral car wash agent, and mix the detergent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Dip the detergent with a soft cloth and do not rub it hard to avoid damaging the paint surface.

Liquid level

Electric vehicles also have “antifreeze”! However, unlike traditional vehicles, antifreeze is used to cool the motor, which needs to be replaced according to the time specified by the manufacturer. Generally, the replacement cycle is 2 years or 40000 km. Gear oil (transmission oil) is also an oil that needs to be replaced frequently in electric vehicles.

Chassis

On weekdays, the chassis is always the closest to the roadside. There are often various complex road conditions on the road, which may cause certain collision and scratch to the chassis. Therefore, it is necessary for the market to inspect new energy vehicles. The inspection contents include whether the transmission parts and suspension parts are loose or damaged and whether the chassis is rusted.

Tyre

The tire is the only part of your car that touches the ground, so the risk of damage is also high. After long distance driving, check the tire pressure, four-wheel balance and whether there is aging crack or trauma. In cold weather, rubber will become hard and brittle, which will not only reduce the friction coefficient, but also make it easier for air leakage and tire puncture than in other seasons.

Engine room

Due to the particularity of new energy vehicles, the cabin must not be cleaned with water!

3

Battery

As the “heart” of new energy vehicles, all power sources begin here. If the battery is not well protected, the battery life will be greatly affected!
